A. Competition: When we started operations in 1988 there were only 5 stores dealing with IT products in the market and today we have more than 600 stores selling the same products in one market. This has significantly increased competition and furthermore reduced profit margins on the products over years. B. Technology Tunover : Earlier we used to have new products launching maybe 3 or 4 times a year which helped people stock goods for a longer period of time as technology did not used to go obsolete so quickly. Whereas with new products flowing in every other day the margins have again reduced and the pressure to liquidate stocks has increased over years. C. Location: Dubai being a trade hub since its inception has been successful in making that statement and living upto its image. It is a central port for all the neighboring countries (GCC as well as Countries of Africa & Russia).
